A native of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Lee earned an Associate in Arts degree from Trident Technical College in Charleston,  S.C., in 2015. As a student at Wake Technical Community College, Raleigh, N.C. ,  he worked on an 8-member team to create a game for the 2018 Wake Capstone Project (Level Design). He will receive a Simulation and Game Design degree in May 2019.
